Oh TRUST ME -- check out www.tightlycurly.com. You're going to love this website.

Teri (the woman who created the site) has AMAZING step-by-step instructions for how to wash, condition, define, and manage curls exactly like yours! Seriously...when you see where she started with her hair and where she is today (lots of before & after pics on her site), you'll be amazed both at how beautiful her hair is and how simple it is to use her technique once a week. She has perfectly defined curls all of the way down to her waist.

My daughter and I used to struggle with finding the right combination of hair products and styling. Everything seemed to dry her hair out more, make it frizzy, etc. She hated her hair. Once I found this website and started following Teri's technique, people literally started stopping my daughter on the street to comment on how beautiful her hair is. She's so proud of her beautiful curls now and has stopped asking me to straighten it all the time. There is nothing better than seeing my girl feeling good about her natural beauty!

This website has EXCELLENT product advice, most of which is very inexpensive and available in your local drug store. Teri's done her research on the ingredients and will tell you very specifically which ones to use and which to avoid.

I really hope this helps!
References :
have you tried frizz ease hair cream? its straightening cream... it works awesome on me. my friend has permed hair and she wanted me to make it straight, so i used the straightening cream and it made her hair almost completely straight with just blow drying it. if you do decide to try the frizz ease hair line, don't use the hair serum, it makes my hair look oily and it doesn't straighten as well. also frizz ease has something called finishing cream. you put it on dry hair. so between the straightening cream and the finishing cream, it should fix the scalp problem. i had that before. i lost a lot of hair all at once and it grew back all at once. well good luck!
References :
I cant truly and honestly look at you eye-to-eye in this situation! I have very curly hair that's unruly and very frizzy. I tend to find the only way to calm it down is to use a hot oil treatment at least once a month. Also, I use Bed Head After Party serum when my hair is damp out of the shower- this automatcally pauses the frizz, until I style it. Then, I use Dove curly hair mousse, and then blow dry with a diffuser. This way, the hair dries the way it is, w/out getting dry or frizzy. Make sure to do the oil treatments, it's a big difference! You can get them at any drugstore, or Sally Beauty Supply. Hope this helped!
